Description

Earlier 19th century. 2 storeys over basement, 3 bays.
Former manse with Classical detail; doubled in depth in
keeping with earlier house late 19th century (flanks now 4
bays). All red ashlar. South west elevation: central
pedimented "Doric" porch; panelled door and sidelights under
long narrow fanlight: tripartite above; architraved windows
with plate-glass sashes, corniced at ground; cill bands;
cornice; blocking course; symmetrically placed stacks
(grouped octagonal flues); piended slate roof with platform.
Mullioned and transomed stair window to north east elevation
in shallow recessed central bay (and modern fire escape
inserted) main cornice above on corbels; inner bay of south
east front of addition similarly recessed.
Interior: re-modelled with elaborate Classical interiors
presumably contemporary with addition; some rich plaster-
work; wooden stair with arcaded balustrade.
