Built 1814-15 (dated). 2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse - 2 parallel
adjoining ranges sharing common long wall (north range perhaps
18th century); adjoining steading to E. House: S elevation:
rendered, with ashlar margins; central door with fanlight in
cavetto reveals; 4-pane sashes; base course; inscribed
eaves/lintel band (see notes). Piended roofs, with graded
slates; 2 corniced stacks in roof valley 3-bay N elevation
with 12-pane 1st floor sashes, additional door in former
steading range adjoining.
Inscription reads "Founded the day the Allies entered Paris
the 31st day of March 1814. Finished the 6th day of July
1815 when the Allied armies under Marshals Blucher and
Wellington again entered Paris".
