Remains of extensive 18th century layout (main part of house
demolished 1939) comprising mid 18th century 2-storey L-plan
E. wing with skewputs and piend roof containing kitchen and
good late 18th century chimney piece (another survives in new
house) at 1st floor. Pyramid roofed outbuilding with blue
dressings and fine James Gordon lintel with crest. Low
ball-capped gatepiers of alternately plain and fluted
courses.
Old photograph at house shows long 18th century vernacular
house of 2-storey with elliptically arched and pedimented
early 19th century porch rising through 2 storeys. 2-windows
either side, very widely spaced. The surviving E. wing
originally had swept heads to its windows, and there was
another pyramid roofed outbuilding on the W.
