1864. Late Georgian Italianate survival, 2-storey harled with
red sandstone dressings, flush quoin angles. Symmetrical
4-window E. front, centre 2 project with gable and
semi-circular bay at ground floor. 5-window S. elevation with asymmetrical porch and chimney. Low pitched piend roof with
broad eaves. Simply treated interior.
Built by Col. Duff who was then factoring Hatton for his
nephew. Perhaps by A & W Reid who designed the Mausoleum at
Hatton and Auchterless manse at this time. Resemblance to
Gobairdy in Forgue Parish should be noted.
