Description

Ruin; originally T-plan with S. aisle, remains chiefly
comprise fragment of S. aisle with fine but much weathered
monument and W. gable of coursed granite, having chamfered
doorpiece and ball-capped birdcage bellcote dated 1762 T.R.
(Thomas Ragg, minister 1745-1786). Marble to John Orrok + 1823.

Statement of Interest

The present parish church is by William Smith (65' x 36'

gothic $2612) but is not of much note.

See Aberdeen journal Feb. 21, 1877. The Old church was

repaired by John Smith in 1844 (contracts April 3) but there

is little trace of his work now.
