Circa 1847(?) when Edinburgh and Northern Railway was opened,
David Bell architect(?). Single-storey (2-storeys to road)
lodge and ticket office, droved ashlar, slate roof, hipped to
outer-end, skew gable to platform with ornate skewputs and
Jacobean finial; similar treatment to south end with a plain
chamfered window and tall brick stack. Steps lead down to
roadway past the lodge; doorway in rear elevation.
At south end of east platform. May belong to original period
of building. This lies outside the old Ladybank Burgh
boundary.
