Later 18th or early 19th century. Large square rubble walled
garden. Tooled ashlar cope. Entrances in N and W.
Further entrance at E, style of Sir Robert Lorimer, circa
1925. Pair tall polished ashlar piers with ribbed and blocked
pilaster strips E and W rising to moulded cornice caps
supporting (deer?) hound finials.
Pair decorative wrought-iron gates under matching overthrow
bearing gilded coat of arms. Gilded berry detailing to
foliate decoration.
Sir Robert Lorimer designed dairy at Kinfauns, Perthshire for
Earl of Moray in 1928 and is understood to have also designed
Redstone garden entrance.
The major part of walled garden lies in Dyke and Moy Parish.
The Darnaway Burn flows roughly E-W through garden forming
parish boundary with Edinkillie in which the S portion lies.
Gardener's house and bothy not included in listing.
