Description

Circa 1844. Symmetrical 2-storey, 3-bay south facing house
with slightly later wing to rear (circa 1850). Harled with
contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins. Centre margined
doorway with projecting moulded cornice with pendant
brackets; fanlight with margined glazing and double leaf
panelled door. Front windows with heavy centre mullion to
8-pane sashes, taller in ground floor than 1st. Rear wing
forms L-plan court with later single storey service porch and
12-pane glazing to windows. Corniced end stacks; slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Ruined free Church in garden. Sited at junction of Contin,

Urray and Fodderty parishes. Land gifted by the Hon. Mrs

Stewart Mackenzie of Seaforth for joint Contin and Fodderty

Free Church.
