Commissioned by Robert Craig, the brother of James Craig
for whom John Kinross designed Carlekamp, Abbotsford Road,
1898. Lorimer apparently stole the commission for Bunkerhill
from the latter. These 2 houses and Westerdunes, Abbotsford
Road form a group of 3 Cotswold Tudor style mansions.
Lorimer's earlier Tudor design was Brackenburgh, Penrith,
1901. Bunkerhill archways with similar voussoir details
to Greywalls, Gullane by Lutyens, 1901.
