Description

Dated 1894; J Alex. Mackenzie, Kingussie engineer, Charles
Mackay, contractor. 15-span wooden bridge with trestle
piers; 5 spans over main river channel have triangulated
trusses with iron-strap reinforcement. Simple paling
balustrade. Tooled grey granite abutments with panelled and
capped end piers.
Plaque records opening of bridge.

Statement of Interest

Finest wooden bridge in Scotland. Spey forms boundary with

Abernethy and Kincardine Parish.
