Description

Circa 1900, restored 1974. 3-sided column with carved interlacing Celtic designs to each face and flat capital standing on triangular plinth. Inscribed panel in one face of plinth; Simple spearhead railed enclosure.

Dr James Martineau former Principal of Manchester College and a theologian who spent his summers at Polchar.
