Carlisle tomb in Church
of All Saints Churchyard

Tomb of ? Carlisle. c1795. Bath stone. A tapering sarcophagus, standing on lion¿s feet over a two-step base, with a reeded cover, topped with a sloping lid with acroteria. Situated to the north of the east end of the chancel. The design closely resembles another similar monument slightly to the north. The inscription is worn: `Carlisle¿ might refer to a place of residence rather than a surname. Listed as a handsome neo-classical monument. No 469 on the churchyard plan.
