Terrace house. c1770, with C19 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, rubble rear, slate mansard roof.
PLAN: Double depth plan.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, attic and basement, developing as full four storeys to rear through fall in site, two windows, mainly twelve-pane sashes, twelve and sixteen-pane dormer above twelve-panes at each level, including paired to basement. To left stone Doric doorcase with 3/4 columns and closed pediment, all painted. Plinth, platband, moulded cornice, blocking course and parapet, all continuous with No.24 (qv), coped party division, left, and shared brick stacks, one raised in ashlar, to right. Rear has paired and single twelve-pane dormers above small paired twelve-pane with wide flush mullion, and small inserted four-pane. First floor twelve-pane and ground floor eight-pane, with door to basement level.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Enclosing area are simple spearhead railings returned to end and doorway, on ashlar curb to curved top. Part of longer terrace (Nos 17-26) with variations, set slightly higher than No.26 (qv), with straight joints in masonry.
