Gate piers and boundary walls with piers. Ashlar and rubble. Mid to late C18 (OS says post-1776). At right hand end of site pair of large square rusticated piers, that to left with moulded base partly exposed, and with moulded capping to blocking course carrying large stone pine cones in urns, pair of C20 plank gates. To right approximately 1m run of rubble wall on small plinth, stopped to carriage house (not included), and with weathered coping. To left similar run of wall, then approx 1.5m in coursed work, stopped to rusticated pier with pyramidal capping, at this point stone wall returns to front of house. Wall continues left at approximately 1.7m height, in series of five steps, with swept coping, following slope down hill, and stopped at end of site to rubble pier. The prominent finials are reminders of the extensive stone-cutting business that was carried out in this area.
