Detached house. c1828, altered 1882 and with C20 additions.
MATERIALS: Painted limestone ashlar, double pitched slate roof with moulded stacks to gable ends.
PLAN: Double depth plan with similar set back one-window left wing.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, symmetrical three window front. Returned low coped parapet, slightly returned cornice and ground floor platband. Trellised balconettes and sunblind boxes to plate glass sash windows to first floor, French windows to ground floor flank elaborate six panel door with circular central panels and overlight. Ground floor spanned by lean-to conservatory with glazed roof, to centre, an 1882 high stone porch with pilasters supporting entablature and coped cornice flanked by statues. Semi-elliptical arch over C20 glazed double doors has ornamented keystone and spandrels, pitched roof extending back to facade also glazed.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
A characteristic two-phase suburban house, similar to its neighbours, and designed in a John Pinch-influenced manner.
