Pair of semi-detached houses. Early C19 with C20 additions.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, hipped slate roof with moulded stack to party wall and right of right wing.
PLAN: Double depth plans.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys and basements, with one window in centre of each floor. Returned coped parapet, cornice, lintel frieze and ground floor platband, six/six-pane sash windows to second and ground floors. No.1 to left has two/two-pane sash with lowered sill to first floor front. three-window left entrance return has banded rustication to ground floor, three/three-pane sash windows to second and ground floors, horned two/two-pane sashes to first floor flanking late C19 canted oriel window. Enclosed projecting porch to centre has returned parapet and cornice, banded rustication, steps up to semicircular arch facing front, and three-light window with semicircular head to each light of left return. No.2 has six/six-pane sash windows, those to upper floors with shutters, that to first floor has lowered sill and unaltered short shutters, two storey wing to right with similar parapet, cornice and frieze to main block and one two/two-pane sash window, that, and those to first and ground floors of main block have balconettes. Enclosed projecting porch to right of main block has parapet and cornice, semicircular arch with returned impost bands, half-glazed six-panel door and overlight and semicircular arched openings to returns. To right of porch C20 garage.
INTERIORS: Not inspected.
HISTORY: Part of this highly characteristic Regency suburban development, showing the influence of the Greek Revival on Bath's domestic architecture.
