House. c1760-1770, raised by two floors in C19.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar to front, painted to basement, ground floor and first floor, ashlar and rubble to rear; parapeted hipped roof, double Romans to front and left side, has two ashlar stacks with early clay pots rising from right side and rear walls.
PLAN: House of deep plan on narrow site.
EXTERIOR: Four storeys and basement; two window front. First floor has two plate glass horned sashes in plain reveals with continuous stone sill and wrought iron balconette. Second floor and third floor each have two similar sashes without balconettes. Ground floor has similar sash in splayed reveal with stone sill to right, five panel door with fanlight in round headed flat surround to left, four pennant steps to crossover with C19 cast iron footscraper. Basement has plate glass horned sash in plain reveal with splayed lintel, C20 plank door under crossover, pennant area steps. Bracketed former eaves cornice over first floor; moulded eave cornice and coped parapet. Rear elevation partially visible has plate glass horned sashes.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Attached wrought iron railings and gate with shaped heads on painted bases.
