Milestone, late C19, whitewashed stone. Triangular, downward sloping top. Lettering reads 'PENKETH' (top); 'TO WIDNES TOWN HALL 3 3/4 MILES' (left); 'TO WARRINGTON MARKETGATE 3 MILES'.

HISTORY: Milestone erected between 1882 - 1894-6.
