Milestone, late C19/early C20, stone. Triangular, downward sloping top. Lettering on top partially indiscernible although probably read 'NEWCHURCH' like similar milestone along the same road. Lettering reads '......... TOWNSHIP OF CULCHETH' (top); 'TO LEIGH 5 3/4 MILES' (left); 'TO WARRINGTON 5 MILES' (right).

HISTORY: Milestone erected between 1894-6 - 1908-11.
