Sheaf Cottage

A Grade II Listed Building in Long Sutton, Lincolnshire

Sheaf Cottage 1969

This was home of my great grandfather from 1842 and his son my great uncle from 1912. Originally rented from local farmer but bought by gt uncle in 1922 (who covered the thatch with corrugated iron to reduce fire risk). They were both skilled cabinet makers working from here. I stayed here in 1947. House sold when gt uncle died in 1950. (I also have a painting of the cottage dated 1919 and photos from same period but latter also show people).
