House. c1780 with later additions and alterations. Pinkish-red
brick in Flemish bond with plain tile roof. 3 storeys, one
first-floor window. First floor has 8/8 sash; second floor has
6/6 sash; third floor has 3/3 fixed-light window; all in flush
frames and with flat arches of gauged brick. Dentil eaves
band. Entrance at left: 2 steps to 4-panel door in tooled
architrave with fanlight and open pediment.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Nos 2-16 (consecutive) Edgar Street (qqv) form a significant
group, together with Nos 28-34 (even) Sidbury; No.12 College
Precincts; Tower House, No.1 Severn Street; and Edgar Tower,
College Green (qqv). Edgar Street (in which all the buildings
are listed) is a fine example of a Georgian street and it
forms part of the setting for the Cathedral (qv).
