House, now offices. c1800. Reddish-brown brick in Flemish bond
with stone doorcase and sills, timber cornice, plain tile roof
and tall end stacks with renewed oversailing courses and pots.
3 storeys with attics, 3 first-floor windows. Chamfered brick
plinth. Ground and first floors have 6/6 sashes, second floor
has 3/3 sashes, all in plain reveals and with sills. flat
arches of darker red gauged brick, those to first floor have
louvered shutters and shutter latches. Entrance at left, 3
renewed steps to 6-raised-and-fielded-panel door with fanlight
with gothic glazing bars and open dentil pediment,
three-quarter engaged columns with palmettes to capitals.
Crowning eaves band and moulded cornice, low parapet. Three
renewed box dormers with 3/3 sashes.
INTERIOR: noted as retaining original plasterwork and joinery
including panelled shutters to ground and first floor windows.
All the listed buildings in College Yard (qqv) form part of
the setting for the Cathedral (qv).
