Pair of houses, now a nursing home. c1840. Gault brick, with
stucco dressings and hipped slate roofs with 2 side wall
stacks. Quoins, wooden modillion eaves.
3 storeys, 3 bays. Windows are mainly glazing bar sashes. East
front, to Lindum Road, has a central doorcase with cornice on
consoles, 6-panel door and overlight. Above it, a full-height
sash with similar surround, and balcony with pierced
balustrade. On either side, canted bay windows with tent
roofed iron balconies above them, with triple sashes. Above
again, 3 sashes with eared architraves.
South side, to Clasketgate, has a doorcase and single storey
bay windows similar to the east front. Above, 3 sashes with
cornices on consoles, and above again, 3 sashes with eared
architraves.
INTERIOR has cantilevered dogleg staircase with turned
balusters.
