Pair of gate piers to Longford House
(No.123) to south-east of carriage

Pair of gate piers to carriage sweep. c1833. Ashlar over
brick, now painted and stuccoed. Square on plan with shaped
plinths, shafts have indented panels, crowning band with
frieze, cornice and pyramidal caps. Piers approx 2m high.
Forms the second set of piers to carriage sweep to Longford
House (No.123) (qv) and a unit with Pair of Gate piers and
Boundary Pier with fence between to Longford House (qv).
An integral part of a group of original piers (qqv) forming a
significant streetscape feature in The Park.
