School. Dated 1856. Attributed to James Greenhalgh. Ashlar
with hipped slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3-window range with central entrance
porch. 4-centred arched doorway in porch which has blocking
course. Flanking 4-centred arched windows with carved
spandrels beneath drop-ended hoodmoulds. Central window space
a blind panel inscribed with name and date together with
initials 'I.H.A.'. 4-window return ranges.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
The school forms part of the development of a small model
community developed by the Ainsworth family.
