GV II

House. C17 with later alterations; restored c1975. Originally
timber-framed, now encased in brown brick on rubble sandstone
plinth; tile roof with brick end stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey, 2-bay front. Plinth retains blocked
2-light mullioned window. 4 steps lead to C20 framed, ledged
and braced door under brick segmental arch with turning piece.
Replacement 3-light flush casement with glazing bars and deep
arch turning piece under segmental arch to right of door.
First floor has similar window tucked tight under the eaves.
2-course projecting band at first floor level.
INTERIOR: timber-framing was found during restoration in the
1970s. Some wall timbers, beams and ceiling joists are
exposed.
