Farmhouse and attached cottage, now a single dwelling. House
dated 1678 on inset stone in right gable apex; cottage C17:
cottage incorporated as wing in late C20.
MATERIALS: house of brown brick in English garden wall bond
with flush stone quoins on high stone plinth; slate roof with
gable coping and kneeler to right, stone ridge and central
brick stack. Cottage wing has whitewashed rendered and
textured walls; slate roof with stone ridge and brick stack.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey 2-window front to house; to left, 2-storey
1-window front to cottage wing. House has 6-panel door with
glazed upper panels; windows on both floors are wide 10/10
sashes with exposed sash boxes. 5-course raised brick
dentilled band at first floor. Windows in cottage wing are
squat 4/8 sashes: eaves course is dentilled. Left gable wall
has door in added porch and round-headed radial glazed window
in gable apex.
INTERIOR: both sections of the unified dwelling have exposed
beams and ceiling joists.
