Pair of houses. Late C17/early C18, late C18 refronting.
Stucco. No.69 has plain tile roof, brick stack at right to
right. No.70 has concealed roof, brick stack to right.
3 storeys, No.69 of 2 bays, No.70 of 1 bay. No.69 has
6-panelled door to left set in panelled surround with
pilasters and moulded hood on shaped brackets. To left, small
round-headed stained glass window. To right 2 4-pane sashes;
smaller 4-pane sashes to first and second floors, and to right
on 1st floor a tripartite canted oriel window, with central
4-pane sash, narrow flanking sashes, moulded sill and plain
apron, fascia and cornice over. First and second floor bands.
Coped parapet. No.70 has 6-panelled door to left with
pilasters and pedimented hood on shaped brackets. 4 stone
steps to entrance. To right 2 sash windows each of 12 panes.
First and second floor bands. First floor has tripartite
window, 3-light casements to centre with ventilator light
over, small brackets under projecting sill, cornice over.
Second floor has 2-light casement window. Lead capping to
parapet.
