Public house. Mid C19. Stucco with moulded parapet cornice. Double-depth plan.

Three storeys; regular four-window range. One original four-pane hornless sash to first floor third from left, otherwise later horned copies. First-floor has sill band and string linked to cornices of moulded hoods on consoled pilasters flanking panelled and keyed round arches with moulded imposts. Second-floor windows have keyed segmental arches, moulded architraves and sill brackets. Ground floor has full-width moulded entablature over six-bay arcade of keyed round arches springing from leaf carved capitals and imposts. Windows have nook-shaft jambs and two-pane fanlights; doorway with panelled doors in taller arch right of centre.

INTERIOR: has many original features including moulded and carved plaster ceiling cornices to ground-floor rooms.

One of a good group in the historic centre of Plymouth.
