Former large town house. C18. Slatehanging to front; steep slate roof projecting over a bracketed eaves cornice; 3 hipped dormer windows with slate-hung cheeks and C20 2-light casements. Single-depth plan plus narrow wing at right angles to rear right and extended at rear late C20. 2 storeys plus attic; 5-window range. Original 12-pane sashes with thick glazing bars to 1st floor; C20 3-bay shopfront to ground floor.

INTERIOR: altered C20 to ground floor, otherwise not inspected. Despite C20 alteration this building still has strong streetscape value and its interest is greatly enhanced by the survival of the rare C18 sashes.
