4 terraced houses. Early to mid C19. Stucco faced brick. Roofs
parapeted.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys over basement with 3 windows each. Pair of
round-arched windows in round-arched recesses to ground floor;
original glazing pattern to right-hand unit consisting in
casements with margin lights to lower half of window; glazed
tympanum with margin lights above. Partial survival of this
pattern in 2nd unit from the left. The remaining ground-floor
windows with 6x6 sashes that appear to date to late C20 but
are after a C19 pattern.
To the right of the ground floor of each unit is a
basket-arched entrance which is reached up a short flight of
steps. Upper-floor windows are flat-arched, those on 1st floor
with 6x6 sashes of an authentic design and balconettes of
cast-iron, an original early C19 pattern to left-hand unit;
designs to the remaining balconettes are late C19 in style.
6x6 sashes to top-floor windows left-hand unit, which retains
a cornice to parapet. The remaining top-floor windows in the
block are of the casement type with margin lights. Stacks to
party walls.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
The uniform treatment of the group suggests that all the units
were restored in the recent past.
