2 houses, now used as surgery; owned by the Barnstaple Bridge
Trust. c1820s. Plastered; slate roof, gabled at ends; stacks
with brick shafts with old pots. Double-depth plan.
3 storeys. 5-bay front. Moulded eaves cornice and eaves board;
platband at first-floor level. 3 left-hand bays symmetrical
with a central doorway with 6-panel door and plain overlight.
Ground-floor windows 16-pane sashes; first-floor windows 8
over 12-pane; Second-floor windows 16-pane sashes. Of the 2
right-hand bays, the left-hand has blind recesses, with a
blocked doorway on the ground floor. The right-hand bay is
glazed similarly to the others except for the ground-floor
window which has been reglazed as a one over one-pane sash.
INTERIOR: not inspected but may retain features of interest.
