GV II

Two shops with offices over. Dated 1906 on gable
jetty-bressumer; by Heaton, Ralph and Heaton. Red brick in
English garden wall bond with sandstone dressings and some
timber-framing, red tiled roof. Rectangular plan at
right-angles to street. C16 vernacular style.
3 storeys and 2 bays. The ground floor has two C20 shop
fronts. The 1st floor has large rectangular windows of 2 and 3
lights, and a concave frieze with pseudo triple keystones over
the windows. The 2nd floor has slightly-jettied ornamental
timber framing including shallow canted 8-light oriels with
leaded glazing, gables with brattished jetty-bressumers
lettered "1906" and oversailing bargeboarded verges with
finials. INTERIOR not inspected.
Forms group with No.34 (qv) adjoining to the left, and Nos 26
to 32 (qv) adjoining that, being a continuation of the same
scheme.
