House. Dated 1712; altered. Rubble, stuccoed at the front;
stone slate roof. Two-unit main range with large rear wing.
Three storeys and 4 windows, with a plain doorway in the
centre, with an old oak door and iron latch plate. Moulded
panel lettered "RW 1712". Four sashed windows on each main
floor and 2 windows at 2nd floor. Gable chimneys, that to the
right corbelled, both with cylindrical shafts; similar chimney
on rear wing. Said to have been home of Robert Willan
(1757-1812), distinguished dermatologist.
This house appears to be similar to High Oaks (qv) in date,
plan and elevation.
