Farmhouse. Early C17, C19 alterations. Painted close-studded
timber frame with painted rendered infill panels, and part
stone and part brick, C20 wood casements throughout.
Plain-tile roofs. Central spurred 4-shaft brick stack at ridge
of main range, 2 eaves stacks at cross wing, one with coursed
rubble with brick upper shaft and one all of brick. T-shape
plan of main range and cross wing with the cross wing parallel
to street.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic. Front with projecting gable of
cross wing to left; cambered tie beam with 2 straight tension
braces on each floor, decorative framing above collar of gable
truss of 3 curved braces per square panel, close-studded
below. Main range to right with square framing, covered to
right with later lean-to extension.
Side wall of cross wing: 2 projecting stacks. Full-height
close studding with tension braces on each storey at each end.
Rear: cross wing gable rebuilt in brick to right with casement
at each storey. Main range to left covered by later lean-to
extension.
Main range end gable: framing underbuilt in late C19 brick
with only survival being the truss of straight tie beam,
vertical struts and collar. Later lean-to extensions each
side.
