Threshing barn. Early C18 (pre-1746), with later repairs.
Timber-framed with brick nogging and gabled plain-tile roof.
EXTERIOR: 3 bays. Square timber-framing with tension braces.
Opposing central threshing openings.
INTERIOR: roof has 2 sets of king posts on tie beams with
braces. Struts to storage bays visible.
The threshing barn forms a group with other farm buildings
around the yard at Brook House Farm consisting of pigsties
(qv), cowhouse and pigeon house (qv), stables (qv) and cart
shed (qv). Brook House Farmhouse (qv) completes the group.
