House. C17 with C18 additions including left end bay and C20
bay to right, with later alterations. Timber-framed with
reddish-brown brick nogging at rear, covered with painted
render to front facade, brick stack and plain-tile roof.
T-shaped on plan originally, apparently a single cell with
cross-wing with massive external stack to rear at junction of
ranges.
EXTERIOR: one-and-a-half storeys; 3 upper-stage windows.
Off-centre plank door; ground floor has C20 2- and 3-light
casement windows with lead cames. 2 full dormers with 2-light
casements and further casement to front gable end. Rear wall
shows small square panels of timber-framing to centre, next to
stack; larger square panels of framing to right.
INTERIOR: has extensive small square panels of timber-framing,
some with wattle and daub infill; inglenook fireplace to rear
with bressumer beam; tie-beam with stops. Board doors. First
floor has exposed timbering, with purlins and wall plate.
