Farmhouse. C17 with C18 or early C19 cross-wing. Timber-frame
and brick, mostly rendered and painted with some exposed
timber-frame to rear; gabled tile roofs with brick cross-axial
stack to valley with diagonal shafts. 2-unit plan plus
cross-wing to left.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range. Top dentilled brick
cornice. Entrance to left of centre has doorcase with
pilasters and open pediment, overlight to C20 half-glazed
door. Ground-floor window to left has segmental-headed 3-light
transomed casement, other windows have 3-light casements,
those to first floor have iron opening casements; taller wing
has segmental-headed window with 3-light transomed casement to
both floors and to attic; all have leaded glazing. Main range
much underbuilt in brick.
Left return of wing has top dentilled cornice with
segmental-headed windows, with 3-light casements to left,
3-light transomed casements to right; cross-axial stack;
single-storey service wing to left end.
Rear has timber-framing to left, with square framing, and 2
small windows to ground floor, 40-light window to first floor
and 3-light attic window with fire mark: ....FARMERS above;
glazed door with pentice.
Wing to return of cross-wing to right, with segmental-headed
entrance with 3-light leaded casement to right, 3-light
small-paned casement above and 2 C20 dormers.
Right return has exposed roof truss and C20 single-storey
gabled addition.
INTERIOR: recorded as having: chamfered and stop-chamfered
spine beams; open fireplace with bressumer; restored late C18
staircase; flagged floor.
