Railings stretching along north side of churchyard including 2
gates, and extending west to include the gates to Hampton Lucy
House (former rectory) and No.47 Church Street (qv). c1825-30
with mid C19 inserted gate. Cast-iron on stone-coped brick
plinth, wrought-iron gate with ashlar gate piers.
Railings have moulded shafts and arrow heads, those from west
end, attached to No.47 Church Street, to just beyond church
gate are joined in pairs by panels with pierced quatrefoils.
Gate to north-west of tower of church (qv) has cast-iron
open-work piers with cusping and Tudor-flower cresting;
enriched gate and C20 overthrow with lantern.
Similar gate at west end to No.47 Church Street. Plinth ramped
up each side of gate to Hampton Lucy House (qv), which has
similar cast-iron piers, with pyramidal caps, and paired
enriched gates.
Gate between School (not included) and north transept is mid
C19, and has ashlar piers with cornices and swept caps to
finials with foliate carving, and paired wrought-iron gates
with fish-tail finials and scroll work in grid to lower parts;
probably erected for the use of school children.
