House. Mid to late C18 with later alterations and additions.
Brick refaced with painted pebbledash; steeply pitched old
tile roof with stone-coped gables and brick end stacks and
cross-axial stack; shallower slate roof to right. 3-unit plan
plus 2-unit part to right.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attic; 5-window range plus 2-storey,
2-window part to right. Pilaster strips to ends and one to
right of centre; top dentilled brick cornice. Entrance to
right of centre has leaded overlight to paired 3 fielded-panel
doors, in early C20 ironstone porch with ogival arch and
glazed gablet with ball finial; flanking recessed-chamfered
cross-mullioned windows with leaded glazing, similar transomed
lights to canted ends.
Ground floor has 3 windows with leaded cross-casements, 2
renewed; first floor has similar windows; some casements have
decorative catches; 4 gabled roof dormers have 2-light leaded
casements; one skylight to left end.
Right part: top dentilled brick cornice and brick end stack;
ground floor has C18 bow window with pilasters, and
entablature over small-paned glazing; first floor has 2
windows with leaded cross-casements.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: plain iron area railings to left
of porch with gate and urn finials to main railings.
