Terrace of three houses with hall to left, now shops, with
flats over to right. Numbered right to left. c1813 with later
additions and alterations including mid-C20 ground-floor shop
fronts. Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco facade and
Welsh slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows to left and 3
storeys, 3 first-floor windows to right. From first floor, a
pilaster strip to each end, and between windows in right
range. First floor: to left, 2 tall 6/9 sashes in plain
reveals with continuous sill band. Otherwise, to right, first
and second floors have 3/6 sashes in plain reveals throughout,
those to second floor with sills. Ground floor has projecting
glazed shop fronts with glazed doors; off-centre, to right, a
2-panel door with overlight. Frieze and cornice; low parapet,
shaped to left and with small pediment. End stacks with
cornices, very tall to right.
Left return: ground floor has two 6-light windows; first floor
has 6 similar windows, all with sills and cambered arches.
INTERIOR to left: formerly one large, 2-storey hall, now with
floor inserted, with cast-iron pillars and 3 exposed king post
roof timbers.
HISTORICAL NOTE: No.1 housed The Leamington Courier in 1860.
Church Walk was laid out and built c1813.
No.2 Church Walk has now been included for the first time.
