Canal lock. 1816, for Leeds-Liverpool Canal, engineer John Rennie; altered. Coursed sandstone blocks (coping replaced with concrete); oak gates and beams to upper end, and iron gates and beams to lower end; 3 small mooring bollards on each side; overflow channel on south side.
