Probably formerly a farmhouse, now a pair of houses. Probably late C17 or early C18; altered and extended. Brick, No.36 rendered and painted white, with thatched roof on 2 slightly different levels, hipped to the west end. Single-depth 4-unit plan (plus C20 additions to rear).

EXTERIOR: single storey; 3 plus 2 windows. Sally's Lane Cottage has the doorway near the left end, a small 2-light window left of this and a C20 bay window to the right; No. 36 to the right has the window at the right-hand end, and 2, 3-light sliding sash windows. 2 small square chimneys on the ridge, and another at the right-hand gable.
