House. Probably late C18 or early C19; altered. White painted
render, slate roof. L-plan formed by single-depth
double-fronted main range with 2-storey outshut to right under
carried-down roof, and single-storey lean-to in entrant angle.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range. Almost symmetrical. The
ground floor has a square-headed doorway off-set to right,
with a board door and wedge lintel, flanked by unhorned 6/6
sashes with exposed boxes; the first floor has windows with
altered glazing. Gable chimneys.
The right-hand return wall has a large 16-pane fixed window
near the front corner, and a 2-light sliding sash window on
each floor of the outshut, both with glazing bars and the
upper much smaller.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms group with Nos 53 & 55 (qv) adjoining to the left, and
with Nos 68-86 opposite (qv).
