House. C16 and c17 with extension to left, restored in C20. Timber framed
on brick plinths with brick infilling; brick and imitation timber frame
extensions to left. Horsham slab roofs. Two storeys with stacks to left of
centre, rear left of centre and larger end stack to right. Gable end to right
C20; two first floor leaded windows and three windows below of varying sizes.
Smaller gable set back to left, larger C17 gable to right of centre linked to
former by pentice projection across ground floor, smaller gable above. Two
diamond-pane windows over two ground floor windows. Plank door. Large Queen-
post truss to C17 gable with one 4-light, one 3-light and one 12-light window 2/3
adjacent on the first floor. Two diamond-pane windows on the ground floor. C20
door to right of centre in gabled timber framed porch. Two hay range to right
with raised eaves and first floor bracing. One diamond-pane under eaves window,
one window below. Right hand return front:- ironstone and sandstone rubble ground
floor to base of stack; tile hung first floor - cast out over ground floor. Rear -
tiled roofs. Outer gables with herringbone brick infilling, central recess behind
'flying braces'. Angle bay oriel to first floor. Gable to left on braces and
flanked by two small, two-light windows. Square projecting window to first floor
of right hand gable under tiled pentice hood. Square bay oriel to left on ground
floor under stone hipped roof. Three-light window above. Door to left of centre,
right of centre and on left gable. Old lobby entry to right end.
Interior:- chamfered spine beams, wall frames exposed. Jowled posts on first
floor.
