Church. 1847 by Henry Woodyer. Coursed Bargate stone with ashlar
dressings, steep pitched plain tiled roof with chevron patterned
lead fleche over stone bellcote to west end. Nave with bellcote to
west, porch to south and chancel to east with vestry to north
east and chapel to south. Angled buttresses to west end.
2-light cusped tracery windows, two on north and south sides,
3-light window to west with stone clockface above. Diagonal
buttresses to east end. Heavy timber framed, gabled, south
porch with cusped bargeboard. Cusped bracing to porch entrance
and arched openings to side over stone plinth walls. Cusped
wind braces in roof. Planked south door in chamfered and roll-
moulded stone surround.
Interior: tiled floor. King-post nave roof, panelled and painted
chancel roof. Cusped and braced, panelled, pulpit. Stout stone
font on squat cluster of piers.
This was Woodyer's first church.
