20 ft north east
of Church of St
Mark

GV II

Chest Tomb. Circa 1900. Dedicated to Lord Pirbright. Stone on
stepped stone plinth. Pannelled sides with Jacobean style strap
work decoration; ribbons and fruit. Two fluted, tapering,
balusters to each end of north and south sides supporting a coved
and stepped lid. The Pirbright coat of arms and illegible
inscription carved on lid. Lord Pirbright was an M.P., Secretary
of State and a Privy Councillor.
