A pair of gate piers which formed the main entrance to Parham
House. Early-mid C17. Ashlar. The piers are square, c.4.5m
high, with undercut ovolo-moulding to the corners; moulded plinth
and cornice; each pier is surmounted by a stone sphere on a short
stalk. Projections on the inner side of each pier terminate in
scrolled consoles. One pier is in Framlingham parish.
