Farmhouse. In 3 stepped sections: centre section C15; parlour addition to
left hand side early C17; right hand addition later C18 or C19. Timber framed
and plastered; plaintiled roof except right hand section which is pantiled. 2
storeys with attic over parlour block. Mainly C20 casement windows, one
original moulded mullion window to rear of parlour at first floor level. The
parlour addition has a lobby entrance with mid C20 lean-to porch and a boarded
and battened entrance door. Internal stack. The centre section comprises a
one and a half bay hall with service rooms to the right hand side: this
section was raised c.3m and re-roofed in the early C18. The parlour addition
has good exposed framing on the first floor and the original newel stairs
(both flights); beside the stairs on the ground floor is a tier of 3
cupboards, probably original. Some good internal doors.
