Farmhouse. In several sections: mainly C16, the rear section possibly
earlier, the main range to the north probably mid C16; both the main range and
a later addition are set forwards, and are now linked by further additions of
c.1950. Timber framed and plastered, pantiled roof. Part single storey and
attic, part 2 storeys, main range 2 storeys and attic. Various mainly mid C20
casement windows, mid C20 entrance door; to the rear of the main range is a
good original 5-light slightly projecting moulded mullion window. The gable
ends of the main range have small pent roofs at eaves level, protecting the
first floor windows. One internal stack to each main section. The interior
of the main range has fine exposed framing with tension braces and 2 good
diamond mullion windows on the first floor. The right hand wing has re-used
moulded beams on the ground floor, perhaps brought from elsewhere in the
house.
